Banksy is a GENIUS!

Banksy’s June 13th Summer Show Video and Coverage

"Banksy’s much anticipated “Summer Show” in his hometown of Bristol has now been unveiled (officially opening June 13, 2009), and I am actually very impressed. He has done what so many other artists have failed to do when presented with the spotlight; he has matured as an artist while at the same time maintained the essential quality and poignancy of his early works that garnered him so much praise. I really think this show will cement Banksy’s place amongst the great 21st century artists. Well done."

What a ledge! The think I love about Banksy is that he is actually a great artist. He's not just a graffiti artist who does tags and such and such, he's actually an artist. He's not the only one out there but Banksy draws the line connect vandal graffiti with master piece artwork. I take my hat of to the dude. His commissions and street markings are a legacy to the dude.

Filippo Perin

Pretty self explanatory...figures made from card...
The detail is crazy though...'specially on the Air Yeezy's and the shoe box!

Actually found myself using my own blog.

Why? All will be revealed soon, but I just can't believe I found myself using my own blog to seek inspiration. It just goes to show how good my blog is right?

Louis Vuitton Journeys [AD]

I just saw this blogged today as though it was something new but when I search the video, it has been uploaded to youtube MONTHS ago...oh well...I feel abit behind but no biggie!
LOVE IT

Passion Pit - Little Secrets

Okay, so...I sat down to write some lyrics like, a minute ago, and I thought I'd put on some Passion Pit for inspiration.
I was listening to the latest song I had of theirs which is called Little Secrets. The beginning is kinda okay, classic PP. Judging by the intro...not a favourite. But then the verse kicked in....OMD!!!
The vocal melody isn't amazing throughout the whole song tbh, but the bassline...WOW!!!
The track bares classic PP symptoms. Falsetto vocals, distorted grungy synth, kids choir...yano..all the usually instrumentation, yet...they manage to pull off a completely new song....LOVE IT!!!!

Nylon Nike Dunks!

NYLON Magazine will auction off five of its recently recent collaboration Nike Dunks in Mexico tomorrow. With proceeds going towards Proyecto Meteoro, the end result will hopefully benefit a wealth of homeless children living in substandard conditions in Mexico. The NYLON x Nike Sportswear Dunk High is based on an aptly chosen nylon upper with tonal prints of NYLON across the side. Five colors include green, red, blue, yellow, orange and pink. -hypebeast.com

That's convenient...fresh fashion to combat poverty, orphans and homeless people in Mexico (what about swine flu).
I actually only posted this topic because I thought the Kicks were...FRESH!!!! But then I read that paragraph and it appealed to me more. I wonder how much they are. I went on the online American (Nike) store and could only see some pink and black nylon dunks but they were plain and crappy.
Oh well...
I would love to get my hands on a pair of the pink or blue ones.
(Thankfully I won't have to jump on the Air Yeezy band wagon to look fresh!)

Kanye West - Spaceship

This is the video for Spaceship which is song from Kanye's debut album "College Dropout".
This video never got released because, despite directing it, Kanye didn't like it. Well...watching it....I can understand why. I think this is the rough version anyway.
I LOVE this song but anyhooo...here it is...ENJOY!

Iphone Nano

I'd much rather get this one than that chunky one they got out now! I think apple brought out the chunky one to leave space for deliberate improvement. Sell loads of the innovative chunky iphone then later bring out the Nano. Very clever marketing!

Microsoft Natal

This is AMAZING!
Technology is advancing so much. Think of the convenience of not having to buy a new controller when one breaks...
(The girl in the vid is pretty hot mind you)

Apple better do something amazing pretty soon to top this.

Emil Baddal’s Lamborghini Concept

Is anyone else sick of seeing people role 'round in Lamborghini's and Ferrari's as though they're Peugeots and Fords or something else on the middle class market. I see them quite abit in Bradford (don't let me get started with the stereotypes) and think to myself "what else is there for me to drive when I hit it big?" I mean, I'm the kinda person who likes to have what no one else has got, simply because I like to be set apart and kinda stand out (as if my good looks don't do that already....JOKES!)
When I saw the Gallardo parked outside KFC, that was the final straw. Then when I saw the Phantom at the petrol station, I was ticked off more, the list is endless.
Anyhooo, after browsing the net, I came across this bad boi concept for the next Lambo...AMAZING!
When I hit it big time, I'm gonna cop one of these and I KNOW! I'll be the only one in Bradford!!!
Let it be said...This car is SEXY!

Art Robots

The end-of-year show at NYU's Interactive Technology Program (ITP)...(I think)

Passion Pit - The Reeling

I can't believe I didn't blog this sooner. Passion Pit released this song back in April. It's defo one of my favourite tracks of theirs (Check my other Passion Pit post aswell. Just use the search at the top of the screen).
Man, I'm so late with this.
Peep this. Very unique and awesome video.

CHERISH 2009

Omd, I'm so glad I avoided Twitter last week because I know it was overly consumed with Cherish Tweets and updates. I was hardly on facebook but I completely neglected my blog...well...here is the update.
Last week at church, we had a womens conference all week. It's a 3day conference (Mon-Tues), and then after that, everyone goes home and week do it all over again for a fresh congregation of women.
Cherish was so awesome! The vibe, the people, the event, the events (the things that happened), the guest speakers and guest singer/songwriter Ayiesha Woods. It was so awesome chatting to her band too, Donny, Droo and Matt (LEGENDS).
I know what you're thinking, "why the heck would I be at a womens conference?". Well, as part of the academy, I had to help out for the full week. I got to help out in the media department, so I was taking pictures, filming, and generally serving an awesome team in the office. Media is by far the best department. The laughs, the pranks, the inside jokes, and the LEG-ENDS you get to work with (Tom, Mo, Dan and Isaac).
I also got the chance to take pictures ALL WEEK with my friend (Emma's) Canon EOS 50D...AMAZINNNN!!!!
The sun was BEAMING...ALL WEEK!!!! (which was a miracle in itself for Bradford) and I spent the week around some amazing peoples!!!!
Hopefully I've made some life long contacts and life long memories.
GOOD TIMES!!!
